This is a STAY TO PLAY tournament.  All non-commuting teams participating in the tournament MUST make all hotel accommodations using our tournament housing services. Please do not call the hotels directly and book through the reservation link below.  We appreciate your support as these partnered hotels assist in sponsoring our event. 

Maryland State Wrestling Association is proud to partner with HBC Event Services, a housing agency with a nationwide reputation for excellence in managing travel for sports events.  HBC Event Services provides an easy way for you to book your hotel rooms with our partnered hotels at the best rates.  These rates are lower than their best available rate and usually includes breakfast for your team/athlete. 

Finally, you have the ability to purchase a Travel Protection Plan with up to 100% for covered cancellations reasons as well as a Cancel for Any Reason benefit of 75% coverage of your unused non-refundable prepaid expenses for travel arrangements you paid for your trip, including the event registration costs.

Wrestlers - $50
You must register at one of the five qualifiers that take place all across the State of Maryland. 

Top Six and Girls Top Four receive awards. Champions receive 1/4 zips

Scales will be at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center

Wrestlers must make weight at their qualifying weight class

Wrestling will begin at approximately 9 AM on Saturday

CHAMPIONSHIP RULES / POLICIES

• Must be a current Maryland resident (Proof of age/residency must be provided upon request)
• No weight changes for not making weight. Wrestlers MUST make weight at qualifying weight class
• No weight allowance – must weigh in wearing a singlet or two-piece uniform.
• Must cut fingernails. An official NFHS Skin Form that a licensed physician has signed must be presented during weigh-ins for any skin issues. However, an official may reject the skin form and disqualify the wrestler.
• Weight cutting on site is prohibited, wrestlers only have two chances to weigh-in & cannot leave the weigh-in area after a missed weight.
• Wrestlers will have until weigh-ins close to make weight on any scale being used.
• All matches will be 1:30-1:30-1:30 with modified NFHS Rules.
• USAW Membership is REQUIRED for ALL events.
• Coaches MUST have USAW Copper Certification to be on mats
